Nib, the assistant
Nib suggests. You decide.
Nib reads the whole space, and nothing it writes changes anything until someone accepts it.
It also improves, shortens, and summarizes text, as suggestions.
Example: in the Q4 launch space, someone asks Nib when the launch party is. Nib answers “April 10 at the Harbor Room” and names its two sources: decision D-5 and the #launch discussion.

Is it free?
Yes. There is no paid plan today, and nothing asks for a card.
Who can see my space?
Only the people you add. If you make a space public, anyone signed in who has its link can read it.
What does Nib do with my text?
Nib runs on Cloudflare Workers AI. It reads your work when you ask it something, when a document goes to review, and to write a space's weekly summary. It never changes your text by itself, and you can switch it off in Settings.
Can I take my work out?
Yes. Download any document as Markdown, Word, or plain text, or print it to PDF.
What if I lose the connection?
Keep writing. Your edits are saved on your device and merge with everyone else's when you are back.
How do I bring my team in?
Add people by the email they sign up with, or share the space's link. CoWrite does not send emails yet, so tell them yourself.
Can I try it without signing up?
Yes. Make up to 10 documents without an account, edit them, and download them. Only your browser can open them, and they stay for 30 days after your last edit. When you sign up, they move into your account.
Is the code open?
Yes, under the MIT license. You can read it, run it yourself, or open an issue.
Next time someone asks “why?”, the answer is already there.
